On which devices is MyDA available?
Right now MyDA is only compatible with Android 2.1 or later. You can find it preinstalled on Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 Galaxy S, Giorgio Armani and Galaxy Tab or download it from Samsung Apps. Check this site to find out for which other devices the virtual assistant is available.
Is MyDA free?
This version is for free, any charges related to Internet connection must be paid by the user and are based on the contract with the telephone service provider.
What does MyDA need to work correctly?
To take advantage of all the available features, MyDA must be connected to the Internet.
How is the user notified of MyDA’s updates?
This site will contain all the information about new releases. MyDA itself will allow you to update the software showing you a new menu option when you press the button “Searcher”. New updates can also be communicated with a message displayed above the figure of the Assistant.
I have a Samsung compatible device but I can’t find MyDA, why?
To install Myda from Samsung Apps, you must have a device produced for the Italian market (not for foreign countries)

Registration
How do I register?
Registration takes place on the device the first time the application is opened or after pressing the button “forget me” in the menu. Registration is required for the application to function.
How is my private data managed?
Your personal information is stored on the device; some information such as your email address is stored on a database to allow you to retrieve your password in case you forget it. At any time you can delete your personal information stored on the device by pressing the button “forget me”.
Functionality
How do I stop MyDa when it’s speaking?
To stop it just press on the assistant.
How can I listen again to the last thing it said?
Simply press on the assistant when it’s talking to replay the last message. To activate this feature make sure that “Read last contents” should be selected in the settings.
The light bulb or the “i” symbol showed up, what does it mean?
When the light bulb symbol lights appears, MyDA wants suggest services that you could be interested in after your last request. By pressing the information button (“i”) when it is highlighted you can review the list of the most recent content displayed by MyDA.
I would like to see the dialog between me and the assistant.
Press the text “touch here for the text” on the main screen (the one with the assistant).
Which appointments does MyDA read?
MyDA reads appointments that are visible within the calendar of the Android phone. The calendar syncs up with Google Calendar if configured.
How does MyDA detect my location?
MyDA takes your position from Android which detects your location through a GPS positioning system or wireless network to which you are connected. To set the location detection mode, read your device manual.
May I delete Baloons on display?
Sure, just keep pressing a Baloon and select “Delete”
Set up and contents
How can I change the assistant?
You can change assistant through the option “Digital Assistant”. Currently two digital assistant are available: Giada and Mara.
What happen if I press the option “Delete Cache”?
Currently MyDA stores information (for example town specific information) to retrieve them later through a system of automatic text completion. By pressing this button all stored information will be deleted.
What do the options in “Power saving” do?
They allow to specify different ways of running MyDA to save energy.
- The option “High” use all the features offered by MyDA.
- The option “Medium” removes the Office Assistant animation when she is not speaking.
- The option “Low” removes the assistant and displays only the dialogue between the user and MyDA.
What happens if “Notes reading” is enabled?
When reading appointments MyDA reads also the content of the field Notes if it is present.
May I reset the partial counter of the send/receive traffic?
Sure, press the option “Partial Counter”
Why does the translation service allows me to translate only one language?
MyDA allows access to a translation from a foreign language to Italian, only in this way can correctly read the translation!
Problem resolution
Registration didn’t succeed.
Make sure you have internet connection. You cannot have multiple accounts based on the same email address, in this case select “existing user”. Otherwise, ensure that you have entered your username and password correctly.
I forgot my password, what should I do?
If you are already on the screen with the Assistant simply go to “settings” and “Change Password”.
If you’re on the login screen you can delete the old password and generate a new one that you will be sent to you to the email address specified in the UserName field.

MyDa keeps asking to activate GPS option, what should I do?
We recommend that you activate this option as MyDA can provide useful information based on your current location.
MyDA asks me an “authentication” menu, what does this mean?
You can only be logged in to MyDA on one device at a time. Enter the required data to allow MyDA to recognize you.
Nothing happens when I press the address button in the details of localized information screen.
When MyDA shows you a detail based on location, you have the option to show it on Google Maps by clicking on “Show map”, or to make a call if a phone number has been entered into the details view.
